When we started breeding alpacas in 2005, we immediately knew that we wanted to combine our four generations of expertise in bedding manufacturing with sustainable alpaca farming. This idea led to the creation of our unique alpaca duvet—a lightweight quilt filled with the finest alpaca fleece, encased in the highest-quality cotton. We are proud to have made thousands of customers happy, far beyond Europe's borders.
Our concept of merging our bedding tradition with our alpaca breeding doesn't stop at alpaca duvets. Healthy sleep is significantly influenced by the sleep environment, which is why we incorporate alpaca not only in our duvets but also in DORMA VITA® mattresses and toppers. A well-balanced sleep climate is essential for a restful night, ensuring you wake up feeling refreshed. To achieve optimal temperature regulation, we use only pure natural materials, including the valuable, temperature-balancing, hypoallergenic alpaca fleece from our own farm in Münsterland.
The Right Pillow Matters
The correct sleeping position is often determined by the pillow, which should support the neck without overextending the head. Our Alpaca Pillow is designed to provide this ideal positioning. Upon request, it can be filled with super-elastic natural latex flakes, ensuring a soft and comfortable sleep.
Additionally, we incorporate valuable Swiss pine wood shavings, known for their unique antibacterial properties. The scent of Swiss pine is said to have a positive effect on circulation, sleep quality, and the nervous system. Research shows that better nighttime recovery with Swiss pine is linked to a reduced heart rate and an overall increase in well-being throughout the day.
Our unique blend of natural latex flakes, alpaca fleece, sheep’s wool, and Swiss pine creates a pillow with high loft, excellent resilience, and outstanding temperature regulation. The individual filling components can be added or removed to customize both firmness and height, allowing you to adjust the pillow to your exact comfort needs.
Natural Latex
What is natural latex? It is an exceptionally flexible material derived from the rubber content in the sap of the rubber tree. When mixed with stabilizers and baked, it forms a durable, shape-retaining mass. Natural latex is ecologically and sustainably sourced, making it an environmentally friendly choice. It is highly flexible, pressure-resistant, and offers excellent point elasticity, ensuring optimal support and comfort.
Swiss Pine (Zirbe)
The rare Swiss pine, which grows at high altitudes in the Alps, possesses remarkable properties. Its pleasant, natural scent has a calming effect on circulation, helping to lower heart rate and promote relaxation. Swiss pine also has beneficial effects on breathing, making it feel deeper and more refreshing. Additionally, it has antiseptic properties, naturally repelling mites and moths for a hygienic sleep environment.
Alpaca Fleece
Premium alpaca fleece brings together all the essential qualities needed for healthy sleep. It is hypoallergenic, making it perfect for allergy sufferers, and it provides exceptional climate regulation while being naturally moisture-resistant. For our products, we use the highest quality Baby Alpaca fleece whenever it adds value, ensuring maximum softness, breathability, and temperature control. Due to its unique ability to regulate temperature and wick away moisture, our alpaca pillow is ideal for those who sweat at night. Unlike synthetic fibers or down pillows, which often cause heat buildup, alpaca fleece naturally balances head temperature, preventing overheating. Note: Baby Alpaca fleece does not necessarily come from baby animals. Even mature alpacas can produce Baby Alpaca quality fleece if their fiber remains ultra-fine throughout their life. The term "Baby Alpaca" simply refers to a measurement of fiber thickness, indicating exceptional softness and delicacy.

Why do we offer different pillow fillings? Because everyone has unique sleep preferences. Some prefer a softer feel, while others need firmer support. Wool beads offer a perfect balance between softness and support—they are elastic, moldable, and provide excellent cushioning for a comfortable yet supportive sleep experience.

Having manufactured pillows for four generations, we have the expertise to offer professional sleep consultations. We believe it is crucial to understand proper sleep posture as well as the causes of spinal conditions, neck, and shoulder tension. Simply owning alpacas or having a stylish online presence is not enough. We are proud to offer honest and knowledgeable sleep advice—even if it’s "just a pillow." Thanks to our in-house production, we can customize each alpaca pillow individually. We will find the right pillow for you! To get started, here are some questions to consider:
What size should the pillow be?
From an ergonomic standpoint, we always recommend a so-called "half pillow" (40x80 cm). This size supports the head and neck, while the shoulders should never rest on the pillow. Larger pillows, such as 80x80 cm decorative pillows, are great for back support while reading or enjoying breakfast in bed. Smaller 40x40 cm pillows are excellent for travel, whether by plane or train. They also work well as a cuddly addition to a standard neck support pillow.
What is the right filling for me?
- Soft Bio Down-Feather Filling (50% Down, 50% Feathers): Very soft and plush comfort
- Medium 100% Natural Latex Flakes: Provides very good and elastic support, relatively soft yet supportive, durable, and a natural product from rubber trees
- Medium-Firm 100% Sheep Wool: Elastic sheep wool balls offer very good and slightly firmer support
- Firm 100% Alpaca Fleece: Washed but otherwise untreated alpaca fleece provides a firm and less elastic feel (not baby alpaca quality)
- Very Firm 100% Swiss Pine: Strong support and aromatic benefits, less elastic but more flexible than most pure Swiss pine pillows due to our special pine flakes and quilted alpaca fleece

Many providers offer alpaca pillows today, but we aim to provide the best quality for the most comfortable sleep. Our pillows feature a 200-thread-count cotton batiste cover, which we prefer over organic cotton because it is finer and more luxurious. We know the production conditions and origins of our materials, ensuring the highest quality.
Unlike some manufacturers that use rougher fleece and stiffer cotton covers, which can compromise temperature regulation, our pillows offer the best balance of softness and breathability. Various quilting patterns help keep the alpaca fiber in place, whether round, square, or linear.
