Baby Alpaca refers to a particularly fine grade of alpaca fibre and not to the age of the animals. The fine fibres provide a soft feel and excellent wearing comfort. Alpaca wool is also naturally temperature-regulating and breathable: it provides pleasant warmth without feeling unnecessarily heavy or restrictive.
Thanks to its sleeveless design, the roll-neck jumper can be worn effortlessly over long-sleeved tops, blouses or lightweight jumpers. Our story began long before Abolengo de Alpaca: As a fourth-generation bedding specialist, we have dedicated ourselves to restful sleep and honest, natural materials for decades. For more than 20 years, we have also kept our own herd of around 100 alpacas in the Münsterland region of Germany. Among other things, we produce our own alpaca bedding, socks and many other products. Our range is complemented by carefully selected products from Peru – the native home of the alpaca. We are passionate about alpaca wool because of its natural temperature-regulating properties, softness and durability.
