Alpaka Lounge
The Alpaka Lounge in Frankenburg, Upper Austria, is run by Thomas Purrer and Christina Pfifferling, who have been passionately running a high-quality alpaca breeding operation since 2019. A significant step was their journey to New Zealand, where they gained valuable breeding experience at the renowned Waratah Flats Alpaca Stud and laid the foundation for their breeding programme. Their herd mainly consists of alpacas in colours from white, light fawn to dark brown, with the well-being and health of the animals always at the forefront. From the fine fleece, high-quality products are created such as hand-knitted garments, shoe inserts, stuffed animals, alpaca duvets and soaps. Visitors can spend relaxed hours with the alpacas on guided walks through the idyllic landscape around the Hofberg and learn more about the animals and their care.
