For several years, alpacas have been a fixed part of the family’s daily life, who fulfilled their dream of owning an alpaca farm. To realise this dream, stables were converted, roofs covered and pastures fenced – all done in-house. The herd consists of mares with their foals, while a separate stallion herd is also cared for. The alpacas are not only wool suppliers but also companions on experiential tours and at various markets. Their valuable wool, often referred to as the “fleece of the gods,” is further processed to produce high-quality products, including hand-spun knitting wool. These products are available at Christmas, hobby markets and street markets.
