Finest maco cotton batiste (200 m/1 g) (200 nm) covers highest quality baby alpaca fiber and gives a silky softness to your skin. The fiber dress of the "kings of the Andes" balances your body temperature perfectly. You will enjoy a healthy and restful sleep while being well-tempered in this well air-conditioned duvet.
The traditional handcrafted production in Germany completely dispenses with chemical treatment during the manufacturing process. Special processing prevents the alpaca fleece from moving.
Our Alpaca duvets are available in summer, all-year, and winter versions, covering all standard sizes. Thanks to excellent temperature regulation, the all-year duvet is highly sought after. It can be comfortably used throughout the year at average room temperature. If you prefer a cooler feel in summer or extra warmth in winter, our summer and winter blankets can cater to your preferences. Customization for your desired size is also possible.

We offer our Alpaca duvet with a 200-thread count cotton batiste as well as a 100-thread count organic cotton batiste. For an incredibly soft feeling, we recommend our 200-thread count cotton batiste for the cover. With knowledge of its origin and cultivation, we can recommend it with confidence. Compared to ordinary organic cotton covers, our cotton batiste is extremely fine and a rarity among organic cotton covers.
The filling of our Alpaca duvets is made from 100% baby alpaca. We use only fleece under 22 µ, ensuring a higher quality duvet. This results in superior sleeping climate, a softer fall, and exceptional cuddliness. "Baby alpaca" does not imply that the fleece comes from alpaca babies, but rather that it is an outstanding fleece and, therefore, of high quality. Baby alpaca refers to a hair fineness of fewer than 22.5 microns.
Our Alpaca duvets come in a handy and air-permeable storage bag.
Moisture absorption:
Natural hair can absorb more than 30% of its own weight in moisture without feeling damp. Alpaca duvets offer perfect sleeping comfort without sweating, creating a pleasant sleeping climate due to their fantastic breathability. Compared to materials like synthetics, cotton, or bed plumes, natural hair duvets are far superior in quality. The chemical structures and composition of wool and natural hair cannot be synthetically replicated.
Resistance to dirt:
Alpaca duvets are particularly resistant to dirt, and alpaca is a highly self-cleaning fiber, similar to the wool of alpacas. Alpaca duvets, like other natural hair duvets, neutralize perspiration and acidity, preventing the formation of unpleasant odors.
Washing alpaca duvets:
Yes! Modern washing facilities can gently wash natural hair duvets. We offer this service; simply visit one of our Dorma Vita stores or contact us. We'll arrange the pick-up of the duvet at your place and send it back to you. We wash the blankets completely chemical-free, achieving beautiful results.
