No matter you want to knit hole pattern scarves or pullovers in stockinette stitch, the knitting properties of our alpaca wool are optimal. Structural patterns are easily visible. For a pullover in size 38, you need about 500 g of wool. 

Cloth in the "fiber of the gods", which is temperature-regulating, hard-wearing, quick-drying, self-cleaning, and above all, extremely cuddly. Alpaca wool is antibacterial and due to the lack of lanolin (wool grease) ideal for allergy sufferers. 

Alpaca is self-cleaning. Air your knitwear well and clean it carefully. If your unique piece really needs to be washed, put it in the machine at 30 °C/86 °F in the wool wash cycle. Use wool detergent or baby shampoo. When handwashing, you can use our alpaca soap. After spinning (max. 600 rpm), wrap your garment carefully in a towel and dry it lying down. This way, you will enjoy your alpaca product for a long time and support sustainability. 

We use only the most beautiful baby alpaca fleece for our alpaca hand-knitting yarn. This is gently removed from the animals. Contrary to the name, the wool does not come from young animals, the term "baby alpaca" means that the alpaca wool has a micron value of less than 22.5, which is particularly soft and cuddly. The alpaca knitting yarn is particularly soft and temperature equalizing, which is due to the unique hollow fiber of the alpaca fleece. This makes the alpaca wool especially light and fine, and the particularly fine wool makes it non-scratchy. The excellent temperature balance provides for a pleasant wearing comfort in both winter and summer.

The cashmere fiber has been a high-quality and popular natural fiber for a very long time. High-quality cashmere is one of the most beautiful natural wool fibers. The quality differences between cashmere is just as great as those of alpaca fleece. The difference between cashmere and alpaca wool lies, in fact, that alpaca wool is much more hard-wearing, copes better with temperature regulation, and it wrinkles less. In contrast to cashmere, alpaca is exceptionally suitable for allergy sufferers. In all these points, alpaca wool is the clear winner. However, cashmere is not quite as smooth as alpaca wool, which may be perceived as inferior sometimes. However, many designers consider this to be a positive characteristic and therefore use more and more alpaca wool in their collections. 

Compared to other natural fibers, alpaca wool does not contain lanolin (wool grease), which makes it especially suitable for allergy sufferers. Due to the lack of wool grease, alpaca wool does not absorb any bacteria, such as perspiration or dust bacteria. Therefore, it prevents the development of unpleasant odors and dirt. In terms of elasticity and durability, alpaca wool clearly outperforms other wools. These are only a few of the reasons for the enthusiasm of our customers.
