We offer our alpaca duvet with a 200 nm cotton batiste as well as a 100 nm organic cotton batiste. For an incredibly soft feeling, we recommend our 200-cotton batiste for the cover. Knowing its origin and cultivation, we can recommend it in good faith. Compared with ordinary organic cotton covers, our cotton batiste is extremely fine and a rarity among the organic cotton covers.
The filling of our alpaca duvets is made from 100% baby alpaca. We use only fleece under 22 µ. Thus, the quality of the duvet is far higher. Specifically, the sleeping climate is superior, and the duvet falls softer and is very cuddly. Baby alpaca fleece does not imply that the fleece comes from alpaca babies, merely that it is an outstanding fleece and, therefore, of high quality. Baby alpaca refers to a fineness of the hair of fewer than 22.5 microns.
Our alpaca duvets come in a handy and air-permeable storage bag.
Moisture absorption
Natural hair has the property to absorb up to more than 30% of its own weight in moisture while remaining dry. By this, our alpaca duvets offer perfect sleeping comfort without sweating as they create a pleasant sleeping climate due to their fantastic breathability. Compared to other materials such as synthetics, cotton, or bed plumes, natural hair duvets are by far superior in quality.
The chemical structures and the composition of the wool and the natural hair cannot be imitated synthetically at all.
Resistance to dirt
Alpaca duvets are particularly resistant to dirt, and alpaca is a highly self-cleaning fiber; it will clean itself just like the wool of the alpacas. The alpaca duvets, like other natural hair duvets, have properties to neutralize perspiration and acidity. This prevents the formation of unpleasant odors.
Is it possible to wash alpaca duvets?
Yes! With the modern washing facilities of today it is possible to wash natural hair duvets gently. With pleasure, we will undertake this for you. Just come to one of our Dorma Vita stores or contact us; We will gladly arrange the pick-up of the duvet at your place and will send it back to you. Alpaca Duvets - The Superior Choice for Your Sleep
When it comes to choosing the perfect duvet, there are many factors to consider. Materials such as camel hair, cashmere, down, and sheep wool are popular options, but alpaca duvets have recently proven to be a better choice for sleep. Why? Here are some reasons why alpaca duvets should be preferred over other materials when made from 100% baby alpaca and a 200-thread count cotton batiste cover.
Breathability
One of the most important qualities of a good duvet is its breathability. Alpaca duvets are known to be highly breathable, meaning they can help you maintain a comfortable body temperature during sleep. Unlike synthetic materials or down, which can lead to overheating and sweating, the fine fleece of alpacas allows air to circulate and absorbs moisture from your body.
Moisture Absorption
Alpaca duvets are not only breathable but also capable of absorbing sweat and moisture. This is because the fleece of alpacas is naturally water-resistant and wicks moisture away from the skin. This means you don't have to worry about feeling wet and uncomfortable during sleep, and the duvet stays fresher for longer.
Temperature Regulation
Another advantage of alpaca duvets is their ability to regulate temperature. Alpaca fleece has a unique fiber structure that helps balance body temperature during sleep. This means you won't get too hot or too cold, and you can maintain a comfortable temperature throughout the night.
Sustainability
Another factor to consider when choosing a duvet is the sustainability of the material. Alpacas are one of the most environmentally friendly animal species in the world. They produce only a limited amount of fleece, which is shorn once a year, and they consume very little, thus preserving the pastures. Alpaca wool is also biodegradable, meaning it is less harmful to the environment than synthetic materials.
Finest Quality
It's important to note that not all alpaca duvets are created equal. If you're looking for a high-quality duvet, make sure it's made from 100% baby alpaca and a 200-thread count cotton batiste cover. Only the finest quality of alpaca fleece can provide the above-mentioned benefits to the fullest extent and give you a luxurious and restful sleep.
Overall, there are many reasons why alpaca duvets are a better choice for your sleep than other materials.
